Boustead posts pre-tax loss of RM16.43mil in Q2
KUALA LUMPUR: Boustead Heavy Industry Corp Bhd recorded a pre-tax loss of RM16.43mil for the second quarter ended June 30, 2012, as compared with a pre-tax profit of RM2.74mil in the same quarter of last year.
However, revenue rose to RM120.22mil from RM120.76mil previously, it said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia yesterday.
“For the six months period ended June 30, a turnover of RM247mil was recorded, 4% higher than the RM237.4mil registered in the previous corresponding period.
“This was attributed mainly to higher revenue recognised from the group’s manufacturing segment arising from a defence related project,” Boustead said. – Bernama
