Czech May output down 2.4%

PRAGUE: Czech industrial output dropped by 2.4% on an annual basis in May, deeper than market expectations of a 1.5% contraction.

Output edged down by 0.1% in May from April, the statistics bureau said. Foreign trade posted a 23.1 billion crown surplus in May. Exports rose 2.8% year-on-year, and imports dipped 1.1%. Reuters
