BMW rolls out new Z4
CYBERJAYA: BMW Malaysia Sdn Bhd yesterday launched its new Z4, the first of the BMW Roadsters to feature an automatically retractable hardtop.
Press and corporate affairs manager Vijayaratnam Tharumaratnam said the BMW Z4 was the leading model in the premium roadster segment in Malaysia.
He said the model accounted for 51% of the total units sold in this segment in the last three years.
“Based on both the critical and market reception the new Z4 has received so far, we are optimistic that it will outperform its predecessor,” he said in a statement.
The two-section roof system features a lightweight aluminium shell design that opens and closes at the touch of a button in under 20 seconds.
The two variants of the Z4, sDrive23i and sDrive35i, have retail prices (on the road, without insurance) of RM411,800 and RM558,800 respectively.
