VEGOILS-Market factors to watch April 25 - Thursday

KUALA LUMPUR: The following factors are likely to influence Malaysian palm oil futures and other vegetable oil markets. FUNDAMENTALS * Malaysian palm oil futures rose on Wednesday as buying interest surged after earlier losses, while hopes that near-stagnant output from the world's No.2 producer would help ease inventories also underpinned sentiment.

* Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) soybean futures fell over one percent on Wednesday on long-liquidation in anticipation of heavy movement soon of soybean supplies from South America's bumper harvest.

* Oil prices rose on Wednesday, led by gains of 2.5 percent in U.S. crude on a surprisingly big drop in weekly gasoline stockpiles and speculation that the glut of crude at the Cushing, Oklahoma hub could soon ease. MARKET NEWS

* Global equity markets rose on Wednesday on strong corporate earnings and speculation the European Central Bank will cut interest rates next week, while U.S. government debt edged up on safe-haven demand after unexpectedly weak economic data.

* Oil prices rallied as much as 2 percent on Wednesday due to falling U.S. gasoline stockpiles while copper and gold advanced as the dollar weakened against the euro. RELATED NEWS
