Fajarbaru gets Prasarana letter to continue extension works


PETALING JAYA: Fajarbaru Builder Group Bhd has received the letter of acceptance from Syarikat Prasarana Negara Bhd to continue works on the Ampang line extension project for RM289.44mil.

On Jan 23, 2013, Fajarbaru Builder received notice of termination of its unit Fajarbaru Builder Sdn Bhd’s (FBSB) sub-contract from MRCB Engineering Sdn Bhd, based on MRCB Engineering’s mutual agreement with Syarikat Prasarana Negara Bhd.

This is to facilitate Prasarana in realising the cost and time benefits associated with the proposed alternative design by FBSB.

The project is for the construction, completion, testing and commissioning of depot and traction power substation Kampung Kuala Sungai Baru, including civil works, external works and all other associated works (Package B) for Ampang line extension project.

In its filing with Bursa Malaysia, Fajarbaru Builder said the construction period would take 27.5 months from the date for possession of the site.
