SapuraKencana bags RM50mil Aussie job from PTTEP

KUALA LUMPUR: SapuraKencana Petroleum Bhd has received a RM50mil contract from PTTEP Australasia Pty Ltd (PTTEP) for the hook-up and commissioning activities for the Montara development project.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia yesterday, SapuraKencana said the contract was secured via its wholly-owned subsidiaries in Australia.

“The contract will see the provision of the vessel and its personnel, operation, navigation and management of the vessel, the operations or work to be performed using the vessel and any other responsibilities and obligations imposed under the contract,” it said.

The total duration of the contract would be approximately three months, commencing early October 2012, it said.

The company's board of directors believed that the contract was in the best interest of the company and would contribute positively to the group's earnings and net assets per share. Bernama
