Bursa Malaysia launches new website
KUALA LUMPUR: Bursa Malaysia launched its new and improved website which is divided into the corporate and market sections to provide a clear differentiation of its dual role as a listed company and an exchange marketplace.
Bursa Malaysia said on Monday the new features included faster and easier search functions for stock prices, all-in-one listed company profile pages and improved classification of information.
Bursa Malaysia CEO Datuk Tajuddin Atan said the new website, with its improved content structure and functional enhancements, was redesigned following feedback from users of the website.
"Given that we last revamped our website in 2006, there is clearly a need to refresh and upgrade the hardware, software and infrastructure supporting the website.
"We hope these new improvements will provide users with a better web experience, including easier and faster access to information," Tajuddin said.
The beta/preview version of the new website was made available from March 26, 2012. Following the public's comments and feedback, some of the suggestions were incorporated into the new website.
In the new website, each listed company has an all-in-one page featuring information on its share price, corporate announcements as well as recent trading and corporate activities.
The stock price page features improved display of data and market information filtering, with direct links to companies' profile pages.
The new website also incorporates an improved filtering system for the display of corporate announcements.
Dedicated pages for the securities, derivatives and Islamic markets, as well as a new dropdown menu and quick links will enable easier navigation between sections.
