Luster surges in active trade, up 76%

KUALA LUMPUR: Luster Industries Bhd's share price surged 76% to 13.5 sen on Thursday and it was the most active counter.
Banks, which received shares following the debt to equity conversion under a restructuring exercise, had disposed of their stakes.
At 4.18pm, Luster share price was up five sen to 13.5 sen. There were 297.12 million shares done at prices ranging from eight sen to 15.5 sen.
Luster warrants rose five sen to 11 sen. There were 75.12 million units done.
The FBM KLCI was down 3.99 points to 1,600.40. Turnover was 1.39 billion units valued at RM1.17bil. There were 311 gainers, 441 losers and 306 counters unchanged.
Meanwhile, stock market data showed that there were 10 million shares transacted at an average price of 7.5 sen each. This was one sen below Wednesday's closing price of 8.5 sen.
