KUALA LUMPUR: Key Asian markets were higher in Monday's morning trade, as investor sentiment was buoyed by the election victories of pro-bailout politicians in Greek elections.

Shanghai's A share index was 0.69% higher at 2,322.86 and South Korea's Kospi Index also rose 2.04% to 1,896.03.

Singapore's Straits Times Index rose 1.15% to 2,843.41 while the local bourse's benchmark index was up 0.41% to 1,585.71.
