FBM KLCI futures contracts on Bursa M'sia Derivatives expected to trend higher


KUALA LUMPUR: The FBM KLCI futures contracts on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives are expected to trend higher this week as investors take the cue from the positive developments in the US and Europe, dealers said.

They said the futures market would also move in tandem with the local and regional bourses.

For the week just-ended, the FBM KLCI futures contracts moved together with cash market within a tight range.

On a Friday-to-Friday basis, June 2012 and July 2012 rose nine points each to 1,582.5 and 1,583 respectively, September 2012 gained 18.5 points to 1,587.5 and December 2012 increased 11 points to 1,573.5.

Turnover dropped to 29,165 lots from 33,795 lots previously while open interest improved to 27,597 contracts from 27,369 contracts previously. Bernama
