FBM KLCI ends Friday marginally up


KUALA LUMPUR: The FBM KLCI finishes Friday marginally higher boosted by late-buying.

At 5pm, the FBM KLCI is up 0.14% to 1,558.77.

"After slipping 7.1-point or 0.5% in the last two days, the FBM KLCI could stage a mild technical rebound today," HwangDBS told its clients earlier today.

On the chart, the benchmark index may bounce up from the immediate support line of 1,555, it said in its morning note.

In wider Bursa, penny stocks continued their dominance with actives such as IFCA MSC, Naim Indah and Dataprep topping the volume list.

China Stationery Ltd which is newly listed today ended higher by 16% to RM1.10.

Crude palm oil 3-month futures were down RM8 to RM3,264 per tonne.

Nymex crude oil added 72 cents to US$108.55 per barrel.

The ringgit was quoted at 3.0065 to the US dollar.
