Muhibbah Eng gets arbitration request
KUALA LUMPUR: Muhibbah Engineering (M) Bhd (MEB) has received a request from UEM Group Bhd for arbitration.
MEB was a subcontractor for UEM for the construction of Salwa Road at Qatar and the project was completed several years ago .
“MEB has received a notification from the Secretariat of the ICC International Court of Arbitration Asia Office of a Request for Arbitration from UEM in respect of an alleged claim by UEM for Qatari Riyal 31.4 million, which is approximately RM26.5mil,” it said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia.
The company is disputing the claim and challenging the request, and is presently taking legal advice on the same.
