Funding for Maxbiz contract


PETALING JAYA: Maxbiz Corp Bhd, a company involved in the textile dye and chemical supply business, said the developer of the Klebang Perdana property project in Perak, for which Maxbiz was awarded a contract for infrastructure works, has obtained funding to pay for the job.

In response to a query by Bursa Securities, Maxbiz said Harta Mesra has already secured a loan facility of RM49mil from Malaysia Building Society Bhd.

It added that the gross profit margin of 5% to 15% for the portion of its works for Harta Mesra was arrived at after taking into consideration the contract sum and the scope of work.

In a separate announcement, the company said it has been served with a winding-up petition by Messrs Shook Lin & Bok on behalf of Pacific Trustees Bhd. The company said the hearing date for the winding-up petition had been fixed on Feb 16, 2012.
