INS plans 50 more Easy Mall Franchise shops

PETALING JAYA: INS Bioscience Bhd, which is aggressively expanding its Easy Mall Franchise shops in Malaysia, plans to add 40 to 50 shops by next year to the current 15, said chairman Datuk Seri Tan Chai Ho.

He said the new shops would adopt a new marketing concept and unique business model as it gathered hundreds of brands and ranges of health products.

Tan said INS’ wholly-owned subsidiary Easy Pha-max Marketing Sdn Bhd had obtained the franchise license in August last year.

“We will recruit franchisees through various campaigns and will also promote it through our members,” he told StarBiz yesterday.

Tan said INS aimed to open 360 Easy Mall Franchise shops in the next three years.

He said the company also planned to extend its franchise business model to markets like Taiwan, the Philippines and Indonesia through partnerships.

Tan said INS had used a joint venture with Guangzhou YiXin Trade Co Ltd to market its products comprising wheatgrass and other health drinks.

“The group has received purchase orders from Hong Kong, Taiwan, Thailand, the Philippines, the United States and South Africa,” he said.

He added that it would introduce 12 healthcare products soon.

For the financial year ended March 31, INS posted a net profit of RM4.6mil on revenue of RM74.5mil. It posted a net profit of RM1.86mil on revenue of RM19.25mil in the first quarter ended June 30. — By LEE KIAN SEONG
