BCorp to list Berjaya Retail
PETALING JAYA: Berjaya Corp Bhd (BCorp) has proposed to undertake the listing of Berjaya Retail Bhd (BRetail) on the Bursa Malaysia main market.
In a filing with Bursa, BCorp said BRetail was the listing vehicle for its units Singer (M) Sdn Bhd and 7-Eleven Malaysia Sdn Bhd.
The proposed listing would be undertaken via the implementation of few proposals, which included the proposed disposal of Singer to BRetail, proposed acquisition of 7-Eleven by BRetail, proposed dividend-in-specie by BCorp and proposed offer for sale of BRetail securities.
BCorp said BRetail and its proposed subsidiaries would be principally involved in marketing and direct selling of consumer durables and operation of a chain of convenience stores via 7-Eleven Group upon the completion of the proposed listing exercise.
