PETALING JAYA: Uni.Asia General Insurance Bhd has appointed David Tan chief operating officer, effective Sept 7.
The appointment is the result of an “exhaustive , widespread and detailed executive search” that began in April following the departure of the company’s chief executive officer, Uni.Asia said in a statement yesterday.
Tan has 30 years of experience in the insurance industry, including a succession of leadership roles in marketing, business development, underwriting, reinsurance, operations, financial accounting and audit.
Prior to joining Uni.Asia, he held senior management positions at Malaysian Assurance Alliance Bhd and Hong Long Assurance Bhd, among others.
