AmDynamic Bond declares 4 sen dividend
KUALA LUMPUR: AmMutual’s AmDynamic Bond has declared a total income distribution of four sen per unit for the financial year ending July 31.
This distribution represented a yield of 7.3% investment return based on the net asset value per unit of 54.65 sen as at July 31, 2008, the company said in a statement yesterday.
As at June 30, 2009, the fund delivered a three-year return of 34.37% compared with its benchmark index of 14.72%, an outperformance of 19.65%, AmMutual said.
The fund invests primarily in high-yielding and lower-rated corporate bonds.
“Currently, the fund is heavily weighted on corporate bonds as we expect the return of market risk appetite amid the improving sentiment over the economy,” said AmInvestment Group Bhd funds management division CEO Datin Maznah Mahbob. — Bernama
As at June 30, there are 45 unit trust funds marketed with total assets of RM16.5bil under the management of AmMutual.
The fund has consistently emerged as the best bond fund, beating its peers and winning numerous awards at the Edge-Lipper Malaysia Fund Awards.
AmDynamic Bond is a medium- to long-term bond fund with potentially higher level of income and risk.
