DKLS inks MoU with Laos govt
PETALING JAYA: DKLS Industries Bhd has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the government of Laos to conduct a feasibility study for a potential water supply project there.
The study would include financial, economic analysis as well as social and environmental impact assessment, DKLS told Bursa yesterday.
Nam Pa Pa, which represented the Laos government in the MoU signing, would be providing access to the project site and the necessary cooperation and available information as and when required by DKLS.
“In the event the MoU crystallises into the project development agreement, DKLS shall be responsible for providing the financing required to develop the water supply project, including all preliminary expenses to be incurred for the purchase and/or rental of all necessary vehicles, equipment, tools and machinery,” it said.
The MoU shall be effective for a period of three months and shall be extended by a further period of one month subject to the agreement by both parties, DKLS said.
