Measat-3a satellite launched
PETALING JAYA: Measat Global Bhd, via wholly-owned subsidiary Measat Satellite Systems Sdn Bhd, has successfully launched Measat-3a satellite from Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan.
Chief operating officer Paul Brown-Kenyon said the new satellite would be critical in supporting the continued growth of the company, including its direct-to-home, broadcasting and telecommunication services.
“On the completion of in-orbit testing, the satellite will provide a significant boost to our network capacity, allowing the continued expansion of our business in Malaysia, Asia-Pacific and Africa,” he said in a statement to Bursa Malaysia yesterday.
