The Senai-based company has signed a new manufacturing agreement with Dyson International Ltd's subsidiary Dyson Manufacturing Sdn Bhd to play an active role in Dyson's supply chain, from raw material sourcing and production to distribution.

Under the agreement, VSI will undertake an extensive production plan to supply finished products to Dyson's destination markets and also to ensure an uninterrupted and optimal level of stocks at each market to meet Dyson's global sales forecast.

“The ultimate objective is to minimise disruption to production schedules at VSI's facilities in view of the increase in market demand for Dyson's vacuum cleaners, and ensure timely product deliveries in specified quantities to Dyson's global destinations,” Gan said.

“Additionally, VSI will be provided with sales orders and forecast one year in advance,” he said.

VSI's customers include multinational corporations from Europe, Japan and the US, for which the company manufactures a wide range of electronic products. – Bernama
