TA Securities completes migration to new e-trading platform
KUALA LUMPUR (Bernama): TA Securities Holdings Bhd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of TA Enterprise Bhd, has completed migrating its entire dealer network to an advanced electronic trading platform.
The platform, the Trader ConnectTM Pro (TC Pro), was installed for TA Securities over 19 months by homegrown N2N Connect Bhd, a specialist in electronic trading technologies.
This makes TA Securities the first Malaysian stockbroking house to comply with a deadline mandated by Bursa Malaysia, TA Enterprise's managing director, Datin Alicia Tiah said on Monday.
"The centralised platform simplifies trading by enabling TA Securities' 558 dealers and remisiers in seven branches and their clients, to trade seamlessly, whether assisted by brokers or online, including execution from mobile devices.
"Trading can now be executed much faster than before with orders being entered directly into Bursa's trading engine, instead of indirectly, previously," she added.
She was speaking at a joint press conference with N2N Connect's managing director, Andrew Tiang here.
Tiang said its dealer representatives have been very receptive as the mobile trading capability gives them more flexibility in meeting clients' needs.
Tiang said the TC Pro system will facilitate trading between dealers and clients on a unified platform directly, connected to Bursa's trading engine, thus reducing latency.
"Together with the access to multiple markets, this platform will provide greater depth to Malaysia's equity capital market, and wider reach by linkage to other international exchanges," he added.
